Some disassembly required‼️ We just finished paint correcting and ceramic coating this 2023 G550, and she’s a real showstopper! 😍 Even though she was relatively new, we dedicated 3 days to carefully correcting and refining the paint, bringing out a warm, deep glow that perfectly complements the Rubellite Red Metallic—a truly stunning color under the lights. This wasn’t your average paint correction; with all the intricate bodylines and curves, it required some disassembly. We removed the front guard and the three-piece spare tire to ensure complete correction and full ceramic coverage. In total, we spent just under 20 hours behind the polisher, and we believe it was well worth the effort. After the correction process, we gave her a foam wash to remove any polishing residue, dried her with air, and prepared her for the nano-coating. We applied our premium 6-10 year platelet resin-infused ceramic coating, then allowed it to cure for a few days to ensure maximum durability and protection. This is one of our full paint correction variations... How much further we go depends on you and your budget vs. the overall initial condition of the paint. We like to keep the options open to meet your demands, but at minimum, a full paint correction is 4 steps here @ringgoldautodetail This video represents the first stage, aka...Step 1. It is a rough mow down rotaty cut to remove a large portion of the medium surface defects. In total, the lower portion of this door took 8 minutes. Now, let's multiply that time by A LOT, and we can start to understand the time it takes to complete a job. In Step 2, we'll switch to a DA with wool or microfiber and knock out up to 90% of the remaining defects. This step is actually the longest step in that we're hunting for defects that we believe can safely be removed. Step 3 is a polishing step with a foam pad, and on a DA, it can be sent out the door looking great. It is a much shorter time to complete but still generally takes 2 hours or so. Step 4 we're "most likely moving back to a rotary where we further refine the image, producing an amazing deep glow to your paint. This is usually the fastest step taking +/- and 1 hour. Now, depending on the condition and your desired results, steps like wet sanding, jeweling polish, and ceramics can be added to the paint enhancement. Quick 2 day clean-up on this QX60 for one of my favorite clients. 🙂 The interior recieved a mini detail... Leather cleaning, conditioning with leather cream and topped with leather lock. Fabric shampo with TMF Rob's secret formula and extraction with an acid rise. All porous plastics were cleaned with hard/shinny/ clear plastics reciving a Ti02 sealant. Glass cleaned streak free. The exterior was a bit short of a detail as she's going to be cared for by the scratch-o-matic 5000(aka Modwash) 😅. We gave her an acid bath rinsed and covered in a high ph pre spray with a strong power rinse. At this point we gave her a contact hand wash with high ph foam soap and clayed the paint using CP Iron-x as the lubricant. Finally we polished her using a 1 foam pad and AIO machine polish, prepped the paint with a 30% alcohol solution and sealed her off with our platelet resin infused Tio2 sealant. All joking aside this beautiful rider came in for a bit of paint enhancement work and a ceramic coating install. She was really showing her age when she arrived and had been mishandled a bit at one point in her life. We went to work improving what we could without risking some of the sketchy areas. This SLICK #BMWi8 came in for a complete interior detail and an exterior enhancement polish. After preforming a through interior cleaning, we rejuvenated the plastics with Dr. Beasley's plastic conditioner and leather cream. After letting it all soak in, we topped off the plastics with our in-house designed hard surface protection solution. This creates ultra low surface tension helping to keep dust and dirt where it belongs...in the floor, helping to prevent abrasive wear. It's also full of UV resistant resins. After an intense exterior decontamination detail, I picked up the machines and went to work on enhancing the overall look of the paint. This vehicle was slated for a straightforward 2 step #paintcorrection but due to the body lines and our high standards, it took a bit more time than usual.😆 For some reason ole Everett McGill's saying, "Damn! We're in a tight spot" has been stuck in my all day 😉. All in all, I'm super happy with the improvements on this one, keeping total working time under 20 hours!! Today was a very humbling day! It's been a long time since I've run into paint that's this difficult. It may well be the hardest paint I've dealt with. M100 and Twisted wool rotary was barely doing anything. Also, it's badly oxidized single stage, so it's clogging my pads crazy fast. The floor pic shows some of the calcium/mineral deposits that came off the car during the wet work. 😳 Of Note: If this happens to your vehicle, contact your preferred #detailer immediately!!! Do not let it sit in the sun. Do not wait for days on an appointment. Do not try and remove this yourself. Thank goodness this individual did all (mostly 😉) the right things, and we were able to make a save. Issues of this nature can lead to an event that will require a paint job if not treated very quickly and appropriately.

A nice change of pace and a break from the multiple-day corrections work. 48hrs later...send it😎 She received comprehensive wet sand 2k up to 5k and was polished to a lovely mirror finish. We chose an industry juggernaut ceramic coating using #Borophene by @nanoproceramic to help keep her looking fresh for years to come

All but done on this finally friday. It's been a long week, but a great learning experience.

"Too Soon Jr!" - Johnny Tran This S2K received A Full Detail with a little extra TLC. Let's tell a bit of a story about this Japanese machine. It all started by accident(pun) and quickly snowballed into a magnificent project. Bare with the story as it's a long one, and we're definitely going to miss a few things. 😬 We started her off with an in-depth decontamination detail. Once cleaned up, we moved to the interior to perform a fairly standard interior detail. After cleaning, we treated all the rubber molding with Gummi Pflege to restore them a bit. The interior plastics and dash were treated x2 with plastic conditioner by @drbeasleys and @kochchemie_usa Top Star. Hard interior surfaces received a water-based ceramic formula. The exterior and engine bay was a whole other ballgame‼️ All exterior #carbonfiber was sanded to remove and reduce orange peel prior to polishing. The paint was a bit thin so we took a great deal of caution in removing the oxidation and random defects before polishing her up to a nice shine. The exterior was prepped and coated in @nanoproceramic Borophene. Undercarriage received a lite cleaning during the wheels off detail. The rear arches were showing some age, so we laid in a coat of Upol black rust-preventing paint. The rear rotors and brakes were also a bit aged, so we chose to paint them black, allowing the Volk te37's be the focal point. The brakes and rotors were then coated in a high temp ceramic for ease of cleaning. The #volkte37 wheels were polished and #ceramic coated again using a high-solids high-temp formula. The glass received a glass-specific #ceramiccoating again by NanoPro. The exterior windshield hoop was in rough shape, so we removed it, had @roninwrapz come in clutch and replace it, before coating the vinyl. The engine bay was thoroughly detailed using a high-pressure high-volume steam method. All underhood carbon, paint, and powder-coated pieces were coated with #Borophene. All aluminum was lightly polished and protected with Dr.Beasley's metal coat. More was done...enough has been said! 😂
